Based in Hong Kong, Greg oversees the operations of the company’s Capital Markets business throughout Asia. Greg is responsible for coordinating all major mandates as well as client strategies associated with real estate investment within the region.
Professional Experience
Greg has more than 35 years’ experience in the property industry in both Australia and Asia, and has a broad base of professional and management expertise. He has held senior leadership roles at nearly all leading global commercial real estate firms and been instrumental in launching their respective Investment Platforms throughout Asia Pacific.
In 2007, Greg moved to Hong Kong from Sydney to join CBRE as Senior Managing Director for Greater China Investment Properties. In the past six years, Greg has transacted some of the largest property transactions in Hong Kong and China and spearheaded Greater China’s most significant Investments & Capital Advisory team. His successes led the firm to expand his coverage to the entire Asia region in January 2013.
Just prior to joining CBRE, Greg was with Jones Lang LaSalle, where he was instumental in building the company’s Investment Platform. He was most recently the National Head of Commercial Investment for Australia, and took a leading role in major office disposals across all cities in Australia. Prior to that he headed up the Investment Advisory Division for Sydney, calling upon his expertise in negotiating complex transactions with major institutional investors.
He was Chairman of the Regional Investments Committee for Asia at JLL between 1994 and 1997. Within this role, Greg helped conclude cross-border placements and joint ventures with international investors in diverse Asian markets. Greg also held a Director position at JLL Indonesia, where he was responsible for joint ventures, investments and capital placements.
Greg’s early career began at Colliers International Perth, where he was Managing Director. He subsequently established the Investment Division for Colliers International in Indonesia in 1990.
